About the Job

As part of the Assurance team, you will provide on-site support for assignments, ensuring clients receive top-quality service.


  • Play a crucial role in Assurance teams, including leading on-site work.

  • Execute assignments in accordance with pre-assignment instructions, ensuring thorough and efficient completion in line with firm procedures.

  • Maintain high Assurance quality, contributing to internal and external quality assurance standards.

  • Immediately report any compliance issues or contentious matters to the assignment manager, proposing possible solutions.

  • Provide briefing, supervision, and "on the job" training for junior staff.

  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact, exemplifying excellent client service.

  • Stay informed about the firm’s specialist services and publications to add value to clients.

  • Review work of junior staff for thoroughness and completeness, conducting job appraisal reviews.

  • Compare actual time spent to budgeted time on assignments, performing review and completion procedures before manager review.

  • Enhance technical knowledge through reading and courses, meeting professional CPD requirements.

  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions, and assist in student recruitment, training, and marketing activities.

  • Perform other duties as required by the Line Manager or Head of Department.


  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience in Assurance tasks within a professional services firm.

  • Proven client handling skills and the ability to produce high-quality Assurances.

  • Desirable: Experience with analytical review approaches.
