Role: Print Production Manager

I'm working with a well-established trade-only supplier of large-format graphics who are looking for an experienced Print Production Manager to join their team in Coventry.
This company specialises in delivering high-quality large-format graphics for the exhibition and events industry. They’re known for reliability, tight turnarounds, and a no-fuss, solutions-focused approach.
They're a growing team, rolling out PrintIQ as their new MIS system, and they’re looking for someone who’s confident managing a busy production floor and leading process improvements.
The Role
This is a hands-on position – you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day production, scheduling, maintaining quality, and ensuring all jobs go out on time.
You’ll work closely with project managers, printers, finishers, and logistics to keep things running smoothly. If you like problem-solving and improving workflows, you’ll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the production schedule across multiple machines
Allocate workloads and oversee production from artwork to dispatch
Troubleshoot issues and maintain high quality standards
Monitor stock levels and keep an eye on consumables
Work with project managers to ensure deadlines are met
Support the rollout and optimisation of PrintIQ
Suggest workflow improvements and maintain kit
Train and manage junior team members if required
Collaborate with the directors to improve production efficiency
What They're Looking For
Strong experience in large-format print production
Experience managing a team
Knowledge of RIP software (Onyx, Caldera), print machines (HP, EFI), and finishing equipment (Zünd, laminators, etc.)
Calm under pressure with good planning and communication skills
Hands-on, solutions-driven mindset
Familiarity with MIS systems (or willingness to get stuck in)
Good awareness of H&S and production floor best practices
Additionally desirable:
Understanding of exhibition graphics and associated challenges
Technical knowledge of substrates and finishing options
Experience implementing or developing an MIS
