I'm working with a well-established trade-only supplier of large-format graphics who are looking for an experienced Print Production Manager to join their team in Coventry.

This company specialises in delivering high-quality large-format graphics for the exhibition and events industry. They’re known for reliability, tight turnarounds, and a no-fuss, solutions-focused approach.

They're a growing team, rolling out PrintIQ as their new MIS system, and they’re looking for someone who’s confident managing a busy production floor and leading process improvements.

The Role

This is a hands-on position – you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day production, scheduling, maintaining quality, and ensuring all jobs go out on time.

You’ll work closely with project managers, printers, finishers, and logistics to keep things running smoothly. If you like problem-solving and improving workflows, you’ll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the production schedule across multiple machines

  • Allocate workloads and oversee production from artwork to dispatch

  • Troubleshoot issues and maintain high quality standards

  • Monitor stock levels and keep an eye on consumables

  • Work with project managers to ensure deadlines are met

  • Support the rollout and optimisation of PrintIQ

  • Suggest workflow improvements and maintain kit

  • Train and manage junior team members if required

  • Collaborate with the directors to improve production efficiency

What They're Looking For

  • Strong experience in large-format print production

  • Experience managing a team

  • Knowledge of RIP software (Onyx, Caldera), print machines (HP, EFI), and finishing equipment (Zünd, laminators, etc.)

  • Calm under pressure with good planning and communication skills

  • Hands-on, solutions-driven mindset

  • Familiarity with MIS systems (or willingness to get stuck in)

  • Good awareness of H&S and production floor best practices

Additionally desirable:

  • Understanding of exhibition graphics and associated challenges

  • Technical knowledge of substrates and finishing options

  • Experience implementing or developing an MIS
